⚠️ Elder/Eldest vs. Older/Oldest

elder/eldest — apenas para membros da família: "my elder brother", "the eldest daughter"
older/oldest — para qualquer comparação: "She is older than her colleague."
❌ "She is elder than her colleague." — ERRADO (não é família)

⚠️ Farther vs. Further

farther — distância física: "The station is farther than I thought."
further — distância física E sentido figurado (adicional, avançado): "We need no further discussion." / "Further research is required."
Em inglês moderno, "further" está substituindo "farther" também para distâncias físicas.

⚠️ Later vs. Latter / Latest vs. Last

later = mais tarde (tempo): "See you later."
latter = o segundo de dois (sequência): "Between tea and coffee, I prefer the latter." (café)
latest = o mais recente: "the latest news"
last = o final de uma série: "the last train"
